A popular trend in new homes today is preparing for the installation of a wall mount TV. In many cases these TV’s are pre-planned to be installed in Living Rooms and/or Family Rooms some are placed above a Gas Fireplace and some are just centered on a wall. Another area to consider installing a wall mount TV is in the Bedrooms.

Featured Two-Story Home Plan – Belmont

By |2021-12-14T09:02:20-05:00July 18th, 2012|New Home Features|

This year, we at Fine Lines Homes have so many great new house plans. One of the plans that really excites me is the Belmont. We took our very popular model home in Hazleton, the Manhattan, downsized it by having the Primary Suite on the first floor by eliminating the flex room and office. Having a primary bedroom on the 1st floor is quite a trend these days with all of us “baby boomers”. I love having the primary suite on the first floor simply for convenience. It all depends on what you want. Ask yourself where you’re going to be in twenty years…. Will you be able to climb stairs? Probably. Will you really want to? Probably not! Primary bedrooms on the first floor mold a home to serve its homeowner at all stages of his or her life.

Housing Provides for Basic Needs

By |2021-03-23T10:56:20-04:00July 12th, 2012|New Home Buying|

I have been selling Real Estate since the mid-seventies and remember in my training when obtaining my license hearing the statement “there will always be a need for housing since it provides for life’s basic needs”. Basic needs meaning shelter, water and personal hygiene. [...]

Workout at Home versus at the Gym

Everyone knows that exercise is one of the main components to maintaining long term health. The problem that we are facing in our fast paced society is finding the time to set aside to do this. Between longer days spent at the office and time spent with your family it is becoming increasingly more difficult for you to get to the gym. [...]

Candle Circuits and Holiday Outlets

By |2021-03-09T14:50:26-05:00November 23rd, 2011|Home Ownership|

The holidays are upon us and it is especially exciting to have a new home at this time of year. One of the great options we offer at Fine Line Homes is a candle circuit. This includes (1) switch on front wall of house that turns on top of all outlets closest to front windows. This way you can plug all of your holiday candles into these outlets and with a flick of a switch, they will all be illuminated at once! Remember the days when you had Christmas lights up and you couldn’t hide all those ugly wires? Well we have a solution for that as well. We offer a holiday circuit which is one switch on front wall of house to an existing receptacle(s) on the outside. This way you can plug your Christmas lights right into the outside outlet or outlets and turn them on with another flick of the switch. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Installing A Television Above the Mantel

By |2020-12-07T09:41:21-05:00November 2nd, 2011|Home Ownership|

More and more people are recognizing the advantages of flat screen TVs that are wall mounted. They have a lot to offer your home in terms of asthetic appeal, extra space in your viewing room, and most importantly comfort. Watching TV can put undue pressure on your neck and back, but when it is mounted on the wall at the correct height and good angle, it is wonderful. [...]
