Maybe in Las Vegas, where they only get a couple inches of rain per year, a drain in your garage is unnecessary. But in most climates, having a route for the water to drain into helps keep the garage cleaner, not to mention minimizing dirty water tracked into the home. And if you live in a colder climate with snow, you know the snow melt can create lots of water problems in your garage, especially if you are storing items in the garage on the floor!
